MILWAUKEE, Aug. 6, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Milwaukee Film announces increased support for the 7th Annual Milwaukee Film Festival, presented by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
Associated Bank becomes the Bank of the Milwaukee Film Festival and has committed to a multi-year agreement including Festival promotion and programming throughout the year with Associated Bank colleagues, clients, and friends.
"We are moving our banking relationship to Associated Bank and are excited by the deep engagement on our Board of Directors by its Executive Vice President John Utz. As an organization that cares deeply about our city, we're proud to now bank with the largest Wisconsin-headquartered bank," explains Milwaukee Film's Artistic and Executive Director, Jonathan Jackson.
In 2014, Associated Bank Executive Vice President John Utz joined the Milwaukee Film Board and its Finance Committee, further solidifying the relationship between the two organizations.
"As the largest bank in Wisconsin and a long-standing supporter of the arts, we are proud to be the bank of the Milwaukee Film Festival to help further enrich the community," says John Utz, Executive Vice President for Associated Bank. "It is an honor to be a Milwaukee Film board member and support this extraordinary showcase of cinema, education, and conversation."
In addition to the continuing and increased support from past sponsors, such as Donald & Donna Baumgartner, Mandel Group, Greater Milwaukee Foundation, and the Herzfeld Foundation, the Milwaukee Film Festival announces a substantially increased partnership with United Way of Greater Milwaukee and Waukesha County.
United Way served as a Sustaining Sponsor during the 2014 Festival but chose to significantly increase their 2015 presence reinforcing a shared goal to convene, educate, and drive vitality in our region. Now, with the support of Johnson Controls, they have become a leading sponsor of the Milwaukee Film Festival and will partner on educational enrichment opportunities with Milwaukee Film.
"United Way helps people – it's that simple. United Way's mission is all about people working together to achieve common goals in our community," says Brian McKaig, Vice President of Marketing and Communications at United Way. "Partnering with Milwaukee Film is a great opportunity to educate people in our community about the ways they can come together to create lasting change."
As one of the fastest-growing cultural events in the region, the Milwaukee Film Festival provides an incredible opportunity to connect with an ever-expanding and diverse cross section of the community. Advanced ticket sales for the 2015 Milwaukee Film Festival are up 39% over 2014.
Through sponsorship, the festival continues to engage with the city by providing entertainment and education. This year the festival raised a combined $2,400,000 in cash, goods, and services, including 26 new sponsors that include KOSS, the Milwaukee Bucks, the Milwaukee Public Library, the Milwaukee Art Museum, the NAACP - Milwaukee Branch, Badger Liquor, and more.
