Americas Cardroom Launches Mystery PKO Events with Halloween Special

Three events begin this Sunday and have $650,000 in combined guarantees.

SAN JOSÉ, Costa Rica, Oct. 15, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Americas Cardroom is launching three Halloween Special tournaments featuring Mystery PKO, a new format exclusive to the Winning Poker Network. The events offer $650,000 in combined guarantees, with the first Day 1 flights beginning Sunday, Oct. 18.

Buy-ins are $109 for the $500,000 guaranteed tournament, $33 for the $100,000 guaranteed event and $5.50 for the $50,000 guaranteed event. Day 2 takes place Sunday, Nov. 1, for all three tournaments.

Mystery PKO pairs hidden Mystery Bounties with visible Progressive Bounties. During the Day 2 bounty phase, each eligible knockout reveals a mystery prize. The eliminator receives 50% immediately, with the remaining 50% added to their own Progressive Bounty.

An eliminated opponent's accumulated Progressive Bounty follows the same division: half is paid to the eliminator, and half is transferred to the eliminator's bounty. A portion of a major mystery prize can therefore generate further rewards through subsequent knockouts.

A hypothetical $100 mystery prize combined with a $40 Progressive Bounty produces a $70 immediate payment and a $70 increase to the eliminator's bounty. Those amounts illustrate the mechanics and are not advertised Halloween prizes.

Players may enter multiple starting flights and combine qualifying stacks for Day 2. Day 1 knockouts award no bounty money. All players start Day 2 with $0 in accumulated Progressive Bounty.
