American Water Declares Quarterly Dividend

Cash dividend payable in the first quarter 2016

VOORHEES, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- American Water Works Company, Inc. (NYSE: AWK) announced today that its Board of Directors declared a quarterly cash dividend payment of $0.34 per share of common stock, payable on March 1, 2016 to all shareholders of record as of February 8, 2016.

American Water offers a dividend reinvestment and direct stock purchase plan called American Water Stock Direct (the “Plan”), which enables stockholders to reinvest cash dividends and purchase additional American Water common stock without any brokerage commissions or service charges.
