Allied Vaughn Adds Industry Veteran Mike Haney to Digital Executive Team
Haney joins after almost a decade at leading digital and DVD retailer Amazon.com
MINNEAPOLIS, Sep. 1, 2015 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Showing further intent to grow their digital asset management / content services and increase digital and MOD licensing activities, Allied Vaughn has added industry veteran Mike Haney as its new VP of Business Development. Haney joins Allied Vaughn after 9 years at Amazon, where he managed business development and licensing activities for Amazon Instant Video, Amazon Prime Instant Video, and Amazon's DVD on Demand services.
"As a respected industry leader, Mike brings a great perspective to our digital and MOD businesses," said Allied Vaughn CEO Dave Willette. "He has a long and proven track record of strategic customer relationships in all facets of digital and physical content licensing and distribution. We're excited to have him join the team to expand our content catalog and distribution outlets, and achieve our goal to be the leading content management and delivery solution for our customers."
Haney will be responsible for expanding both the digital and MOD (manufacture-on-demand) content libraries, as well as developing strategic relationships with new content providers and distribution platforms in the US and internationally. He will work closely with both the on-demand media operations as well as Allied Vaughn's national known content services and archiving group. "Allied Vaughn is one of the few organizations to have a true vertical approach to content licensing, asset preparation and distribution." Haney said. "I'm excited about the opportunity to influence and contribute to expanding Allied Vaughn's content offerings, and helping rights holders monetize and distribute their intellectual property in cost-effective ways through as many consumer outlets as possible. Allied Vaughn's media on demand manufacturing and digital businesses represent industry best practices in digitization, metadata preparation, archive operations and distribution".
Before Amazon, Haney was VP of Home Entertainment for Sundance Channel, and also held senior positions with BMG Entertainment, CDNow.com, and West Coast Entertainment.
