Akumina InterChange Add-in for Microsoft Office 365 Outlook Now Available
Allows for easy approval of SharePoint Workflow tasks on the go
NASHUA, N.H.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Akumina, whose InterChange technology is a fully-extendable digital workplace platform built for Microsoft Office 365 and Microsoft Azure, today announced the release of its Content Approval Add-in for Microsoft Outlook.
The Add-in enables users of the InterChange AppManager to be prompted through email when new tasks have been assigned to them in SharePoint, and allows the user to respond and complete the task using Outlook. For example, a vacation request form can trigger a SharePoint workflow and the correct manager can use the InterChange Add-in to approve the request from Outlook, on any device.
The InterChange AppManager includes purposeful apps that enable employees to quickly access the data and tools they need to get their jobs done. When custom Apps are needed, the AppManager SDK allows developers to build apps for delivery via the AppManager, ensuring a connected end user experience.
“Akumina strives to design technology that allows users to not only get the most out of their investment in Microsoft technology, but to also make the use of Microsoft applications a simple task,” said Steven Sherkanowski, Akumina’s COO and president. “Our Add-in makes it quicker and easier than ever to approve or reject tasks, managed via SharePoint workflows, all from Outlook.”
"The availability of Akumina’s InterChange AppManager Add-in for Microsoft Outlook provides our joint customers with another valuable tool to streamline their work tasks," said Rob Howard, director of ecosystem, Microsoft.
