After-Gym Soreness & Neck Strain Relief: Cervical Decompression Device Announced
The Neck Cloud has announced its cervical decompression device to help fitness enthusiasts manage post-workout neck soreness.

-- The Neck Cloud has announced its cervical decompression device, a portable tool designed to address post-workout neck soreness and cervical strain. The device combines cervical traction with acupressure and sub-occipital muscle support to complement existing recovery routines.
Neck injuries are a recurring concern in gym settings. A study published in The Journal of Craniofacial Surgery found that neck injuries accounted for 21% of exercise- and weightlifting-related acute craniofacial injuries treated in U.S. emergency departments between 2013 and 2022. A separate analysis published in OTO Open found that among barbell-specific head and neck injuries, the neck was the second most affected area, accounting for 32% of cases recorded from 2014 to 2023.
"With cervical strain remaining a common concern among active adults, our cervical decompression device was developed to complement post-workout recovery by combining cervical traction, acupressure, and sub-occipital muscle support in a three-way decompression system," said Phil Dieckmann, founder of The Neck Cloud.
According to the company, the dual-sided ergonomic design allows users to choose a gentle stretch or deeper decompression based on comfort, with typical sessions lasting about 10 minutes. The portable device can be used at home, at the gym, or while traveling.
The company also states that the device was refined through internal laboratory testing and evaluated by chiropractors during product development to optimize its ergonomic design and user experience. The company adds the device is intended to support relief of neck discomfort and tension. Individual results vary; the device is not intended to diagnose or treat any medical condition.
