APhA Foundation Project IMPACT: Test and Treat manuscript now published
In Project IMPACT: Test and Treat , 15 community pharmacies throughout the country provided patients with access to test and treat services for COVID-19, strep, and flu. After completion of the test and discussion with the patient, the pharmacist could prescribe and dispense treatment in accordance with an established protocol as allowed by either their state board of pharmacy or in collaboration with a provider. The pharmacist provided counseling and follow-up scheduling as needed.

Project IMPACT: Test and Treat resulted in 88% of patients who were prescribed medication by the pharmacist receiving medication on the very same day.
