A.M. Best Withdraws Ratings of RLI Indemnity Company
OLDWICK, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- A.M. Best has withdrawn the financial strength rating of A+ (Superior) and the issuer credit rating of “aa” of RLI Indemnity Company (RLI Indemnity) (Peoria, Illinois).
RLI Indemnity, previously a subsidiary of Mt. Hawley Insurance Company and ultimately of RLI Corp. [NYSE:RLI], was sold as a clean shell to Clear Blue Financial Holdings, LLC on Nov. 3, 2015. This sale has resulted in A.M. Best withdrawing the ratings.
