A.M. Best Releases Criteria: BCAR for Title Insurance Companies

OLDWICK, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- A.M. Best has released the updated criteria report, “BCAR for Title Insurance Companies” (updates version dated April 2, 2014). The changes include inserting the exhibit of credit risk factors applied to recoverables, minor corrections to the Standard and Stress BCAR Score Calculation and the footnote in the Loss Scenario Tests, as well as the removal of any references to secure/vulnerable and investment/non-investment grade categories.

The draft of this new criteria report was released for a 30-day public comment period on May 26, 2015. Some of the updates were based on comments received during the public comment period.
