2025 UDA NATIONAL DANCE TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP HONORS TOP TEAMS

MEMPHIS, Tenn., Feb. 3, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Varsity Spirit – a division of Varsity Brands and a global leader in cheerleading, dance team and band apparel, camps and competitions, and yearbook – is pleased to announce the new champions named at the 2025 National Dance Team Championship that took place on January 31- February 2, 2025, at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at The Walt Disney World® Resort.

The National Dance Team Championship, produced by the Universal Dance Association, a Varsity Spirit brand, celebrates the power of school spirit, community, athleticism, and talent. This year's event hosted 5935 athletes and 374 teams across 36 states. All teams invited to perform at the championship received a bid at a Varsity Spirit Camp in 2024. Teams competed in Pom, Jazz, Hip Hop, High Kick, Game Day and Game Day Live.

New to the event, the inaugural Pep Band Division crowned its first-ever high school champion. In this exciting new division, pep bands are able to showcase their talent, school spirit, and musical precision, elevating the competition atmosphere like never before. The debut of this division marks a significant milestone in further recognizing the vital role pep bands play in creating an unforgettable game-day experience, further uniting performers, musicians, and fans in a shared celebration of school pride.

Varsity Spirit live-streamed the championship on Varsity TV, a website dedicated to exclusive live coverage and video libraries of Varsity Spirit cheer and dance competitions. Videos of the routines are available for fans who could not attend, and full results listings are available on Varsity TV. The championships will air on ESPN2 and ESPNU beginning in the spring of 2025.
