U.S. and Taiwanese defence officials reportedly held secret talks in Alaska

The defense officials from the U.S. and Taiwan have held secret talks in Alaska, according to a report by The Financial Times on Thursday.

• Jed Royal, top Indo-Pacific official at the U.S. DoD, met Hsu Szu-chien, then Taiwan's deputy national security adviser.
• The meeting took place in Anchorage.
