The Trump administration urged United (NYSE: UAL) and other U.S. airlines to ignore China's demands over how they refer to Taiwan, according to the Financial Times. Airlines were asked not to comply with a Chinese demand to write Taiwan, China instead of Taiwan on their websites and maps.
