Washington Democrat Maria Cantwell and Texas Republican Ted Cruz question Joe Biden's planned chip restrictions - WSJ

• The senators are asking the administration to reconsider a plan to cap the number of artificial-intelligence chips that companies can put in computing facilities in certain countries.

• Cruz and Cantwell warned in a letter to President on Thursday that “such draconian restrictions would severely hinder the sale of U.S. technology abroad and risk driving foreign buyers to Chinese competitors like Huawei.”
