ORLANDO, Fla., Sept. 22, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Margaritaville at Sea Cruise Line today announced that multi-platinum artist and three-time GRAMMY Award winner Zac Brown will serve as the official Godfather of the all-new Margaritaville at Sea Beachcomber, christening the ship and performing onboard as part of its inaugural celebration in January 2027. The honor strengthens a growing partnership that will bring Brown's music and creative vision to the cruise line's newest flagship.

The honorary role builds on a relationship that continues to grow both on land and at sea. Brown collaborated with Margaritaville at Sea to create Beachcomber's first-of-its-kind Same Boat live music venue, while the cruise line is the presenting sponsor of Zac Brown Band's current Love & Fear U.S. Tour. Brown will also headline an exclusive concert in Nassau on Jan. 28, 2027, when Beachcomber, Islander and Paradise come together for the first gathering of the Margaritaville at Sea fleet.

As Godfather, Brown will carry on the longstanding maritime tradition of helping usher a new ship into service and wishing safe travels to the vessel, its crew and all who sail aboard. Brown will officially christen Beachcomber in Miami on Jan. 9, 2027, and mark the occasion with a special onboard performance for guests before the ship departs on its inaugural sailing.

Brown's connection to Beachcomber will come to life at Same Boat, the world's first artist-designed live music venue at sea, where he has collaborated with Margaritaville at Sea on everything from design and artwork to music programming. The venue will feature a rotating roster of artists throughout Beachcomber's inaugural season and is inspired by Brown's hit song "Same Boat," which featured Jimmy Buffett on the deluxe edition of Zac Brown Band's The Comeback. 

The venue also celebrates the longstanding musical relationship between Brown and Buffett, a friendship that had a lasting impact on Brown's career. The two first came together for CMT's Crossroads and went on to collaborate on hits including "Knee Deep," along with other performances and musical projects.

On land, Margaritaville at Sea is serving as presenting sponsor of Zac Brown Band's 27-show Love & Fear U.S. Tour.
