XTI Aerospace Selects Drivetrain Supplier-Partners for TriFan 600

Selection advances the TriFan 600 xVTOL airplane's development and meets a key product and engineering Q2 milestone

ENGLEWOOD, Colo., May 22, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- XTI Aerospace, Inc. (Nasdaq: XTIA) ("XTI"), a pioneer in xVTOL and powered-lift aircraft solutions, today announced the selection of Triumph Geared Solutions, Formsprag Clutch, and Kamatics Corporation as key supplier-partners for the design, development and manufacture of the drivetrain system for XTI's revolutionary TriFan 600 vertical takeoff and landing (xVTOL) airplane.

Announcement of the drivetrain suppliers meets a key Q2 2025 product and engineering milestone announced in a prior press release. Execution of definitive agreements between the parties is forthcoming.

Under the planned teaming arrangement:

• Triumph Geared Solutions will design, develop, and manufacture the primary and secondary gearboxes that manage power distribution across the TriFan's propulsion system.
  
  
• Formsprag Clutch will design, develop and manufacture the clutch systems within the TriFan's drivetrain.
  
  
• Kamatics Corporation will design and manufacture the precision shafts that ultimately connect the twin turboshaft engines to the TriFan's three ducted fans.

XTI, Triumph Geared Solutions, Kamatics, and Formsprag Clutch recently held a collaborative two-day summit bringing together top engineers, executives, and technical specialists to accelerate progress on the high-performance drivetrain solution for the TriFan 600 xVTOL aircraft. The companies discussed fault tolerant drivetrain configurations, thermal management and lubrication systems, advanced materials and lightweight design, and system integration for maintainability as well as aligned on key design principles, integration milestones, and validation protocols for the drivetrain architecture.
