Varsity Brands Strengthens Leadership Team with Two Key Executive Appointments

Javier Idrovo Named Chief Financial Officer; 
Jim Baldwin Joins as Chief Legal and Compliance Officer

DALLAS, Feb. 5, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Varsity Brands, the leading platform for team Sport and Spirit solutions, today announced the appointments of Javier Idrovo as Chief Financial Officer and Jim Baldwin as Chief Legal and Compliance Officer and Corporate Secretary. These strategic hires reinforce the company's commitment to growth, operational excellence and industry leadership.

They succeed John Hutchison and Burton Brillhart, who recently announced their retirement from Varsity Brands.

Javier Idrovo, Chief Financial Officer

Idrovo brings extensive financial leadership experience, most recently serving as CFO at Blue Triton Brands, where he helped lead the near doubling of profitability in under four years through strategic revenue management and process optimization.

Prior to Blue Triton, he was CFO at The Hain Celestial Group, leading global financial transformation initiatives. He also held key leadership roles at The Hershey Company, supporting global expansion and served as President of Dole Packaged Foods, overseeing business growth and operational improvements.

Idrovo holds a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School and a Master of Engineering from Harvey Mudd College.

Jim Baldwin, Chief Legal & Compliance Officer and Corporate Secretary

Baldwin brings over two decades of legal and compliance leadership, having served as Chief Legal Officer, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary at Keurig Dr Pepper (KDP) for more than 24 years. He played a pivotal role in guiding the company's legal strategy for major acquisitions, including Snapple, Hawaiian Punch, Bai, and Core Water.

Baldwin also led KDP's compliance, enterprise risk and security functions while overseeing responses to cyber threats, media crises, product recalls, and security risks. His leadership will further strengthen Varsity Brands' corporate governance functions.

A Dallas native, Baldwin earned his Juris Doctor from Southern Methodist University's Dedman School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts from Washington & Lee University.
