UL Research Institutes' Chemical Insights Releases Guidance on Electronic Nicotine Delivery Systems
This SERVICE guidance document was produced by an expert task force of professionals from academic institutions, medical research centers, and health care practices including the VA San Diego Healthcare System; Harvard University; Soft Smiles, LLC; West Virginia University; Louisiana State University; Center for Black Health ad Equity; Redan (Ga) High School; Purdue University; Georgia State University; New York University Langone Health; and ULRI.

Among the misconceptions addressed in the guidance document:
- ENDS emissions are just water vapor
- Vaping is safer than smoking cigarettes
- Vaping doesn't hurt anyone around you
- Vaping is safe during pregnancy
- Vapes don't pollute the environment
- Using vapes along with cigarettes or marijuana is okay
- Vaping isn't addictive
