The Jason Foundation Celebrates 29th Anniversary

HENDERSONVILLE, Tenn., Oct. 1, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- The Jason Foundation, Inc. (JFI), a national leader in youth and young adult suicide awareness and prevention, proudly marks its 29th anniversary today. Founded in 1997 after the loss of 16-year-old Jason Flatt, JFI was created with the goal of helping prevent other families from experiencing the heartbreak of losing a child to suicide.

What began as a small organization around a kitchen table in Hendersonville, Tennessee, has now grown into a national network providing educational programs, resources, and support throughout all 50 states.
