Community-Based Health Plans Partner with Local Organizations to Support the Health and Well-Being of Texas Families

TACHP's 11 member health plans serve more than 1.6 million Texans across the state. As the school year gets underway, parents and caregivers are encouraged to check with their health plan, healthcare providers and trusted community organizations about available services and resources, including:
- Back-to-school physicals and immunizations
- Vision and dental screenings
- Hearing assessments
- Age-appropriate wellness checkups
- Behavioral health services and screening for anxiety, depression and other concerns
- Connections to community-based organizations and local resources that support the broader needs of individuals and families
- Support and strategies for managing school-related stress and promoting overall wellness
Through partnerships with community-based organizations, TACHP members work to strengthen the health of the communities they serve and support the holistic needs of individuals and families. These partnerships help connect Texans with resources close to home and recognize that physical health, behavioral health and social and community needs are interconnected.
