Tamarack Resort Hosts Two Weekends of High-Energy RMSHA Races

Elite snowmobile athletes, lift-served viewing, and immersive on-mountain action highlight two consecutive weekends of RMSHA competition at Tamarack Resort

TAMARACK, Idaho, March 28, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Tamarack Resort welcomed the Rocky Mountain States Hill Climb Association (RMSHA) this weekend for an action-packed series of snowmobile hill climb races, drawing top athletes and spectators from across the region. Set against Tamarack's 2,800 vertical feet of terrain, competitors took on a fast, technical course below the Summit Express chairlift for racing and high-speed finishes throughout the weekend.

Top performances included Tim Maki of Clark, Colorado, Wesley Selby of Grand Lake, Colorado, and Iyla Pearl Edwards of Ennis, Montana. The wide variety of classes and racers highlights the depth of talent competing at this premier stop on the RMSHA circuit. RMSHA also opened a heat for locals to try their hand at the competition—with Tamarack Resort's own Ryan Heintzelman taking a break from his duties as a lift maintenance manager to enter the race.

New this year, Tamarack expanded the spectator experience by offering lift-served viewing via the Summit Express. Guests and spectators rode the chairlift and watched amateur and professional racers climb the course, hit jumps, and navigate technical terrain right beside the lift—creating a uniquely immersive, up-close race experience.

The excitement continues next weekend as RMSHA returns to Tamarack for another round of snowmobile racing. Alongside the Pro and Amateur divisions, Tamarack and RMSHA are once again inviting local participants to register and experience hill climb racing firsthand, offering a unique opportunity to take on the same course as professional competitors.

In addition to racing, Tamarack will host brunch at The Reserve, as well as a large Easter egg hunt next weekend, creating a family-friendly complement to the high-energy race environment. Guests can expect a full weekend of activities both on and off the mountain.

RMSHA continues to be one of Tamarack's signature winter events, combining competitive snowmobile racing with an accessible and engaging spectator experience.
