Leading STEAM-Based Curriculum Offered at New Milpitas Location

MILPITAS, Calif., Aug. 20, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Stratford School, a leading private school system offering STEAM-based (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics) learning, is excited to announce the opening of its second Bay Area high school. Stratford Preparatory Milpitas, located at 1323 Great Mall Drive, Milpitas, opens today. It will welcome grades 6-9 for its inaugural school year.

This fall, approximately 225 students will walk through the doors of Stratford Preparatory Milpitas's newly renovated, state-of-the-art campus. Designed to grow alongside its student body, the school will add one grade level each year until it serves grades 6–12. The expansive facility includes dedicated biology, chemistry, and physics labs, two art studios, dual innovation labs, and music spaces—all anchored by a brand-new 7,853-square-foot gymnasium. Leading the launch is Deepali Deshmukh, who brings years of leadership experience from her tenure as Head of School at Stratford's Milpitas Great Mall Parkway campus since 2018.

Stratford Preparatory Milpitas will continue the Stratford School tradition of academic excellence, offering an innovative and accelerated STEAM-based curriculum which includes multiple Honors and AP Course options, as well as post-AP course offerings, university-level courses, and a distinguished Computer Science program with seven levels of coursework. Individual college counseling begins in grade 8, preparing students to apply to colleges tailored to a student's academic and personal interests. Students are also encouraged to explore their unique passions through creative and dynamic electives, including business, healthcare, art, and competitive interscholastic sports teams.
