Spire Launches OpenKnowra's Governed Context Layers to Enterprises and Partners

October 14, 2026 8:42 AM EDT

Enterprises, services firms and product innovators can now build directly on the platform, from single APIs to complete operating grids

WOODBRIDGE TOWNSHIP, N.J., Oct. 14, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Spire Innovations today opened the OpenKnowra Enterprise AI Platform to enterprises and partners, making each layer of its architecture available to use and build on directly.

Enterprise solution makers can start with a single API on OpenKnowra's governed context layer, build their own autonomous decision control system on higher layers, or run business functions through its use case operating grids, while partners build solutions for clients on the same foundation. The launch expands on February's introduction of Knowra, which Spire delivered to a select group of enterprises as a complete application-level platform.

Enterprises have adopted capable AI models and agents, spending billions over the last two years, yet many still can't trust AI with decisions that carry business consequences. Models lack an understanding of the enterprise context - how a business runs, from its policies to its approval authority. OpenKnowra delivers observability and control on autonomy while holding that context in one governed layer that any open or closed model, agent or application can draw on. Enterprises keep their proprietary intelligence and alpha, inside their own sovereign environment, without surrendering it to AI models or providers.

"We've spent nearly two decades engineering business context as shared infrastructure, and opening the layers puts that work directly in the hands of people building with Superintelligence," said Saurabh Jain, founder and CEO of Spire Innovations and chief architect of OpenKnowra. "An enterprise, or the firm that serves it, can build on that foundation directly and see exactly why every decision was made. That shortens the path from AI adoption to business results and lets companies do more with the resources they already have, changing the economics of Enterprise AI."

OpenKnowra combines a knowledge graph with fact-level provenance and a context-native operating system that orchestrates APIs, A2A collaboration, and governs access, privacy, policy, decision authority and audit on every action. Because the platform reasons on a governed graph, its decisions are deterministic. The same inputs produce the same outputs and each decision can be traced to its context, a requirement in many regulated industries before AI reaches production.

Starting today, OpenKnowra is available at https://spire.ai/platform and can be engaged at any layer, chain layers together, or run a complete functional grid.

The platform is designed for sub-220 millisecond median latency on production context queries and is backed by a 99.9% enterprise SLA. Technologies built on it have a user base in more than 100 countries.
