Announces $13M Financing to Make Specialty Care Better for All

NASHVILLE, Tenn., Aug. 4, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Today marks the official launch of Skylight Health, a mission-driven healthcare company committed to making specialty care better for everyone. Co-founded by healthcare leaders Jesse Hunter and Dr. Doug Smith, Skylight addresses one of healthcare's most persistent challenges: fragmented specialty care that delays access, diminishes whole-person outcomes, and drives higher costs. Skylight also announced the closing of a $13 million financing, led by Valtruis, with participation from Andreessen Horowitz (a16z) and Allen & Company LLC. The investment will accelerate the development of Skylight's advanced data analytics platform, technology-enabled care navigation programs and buildout of community-based collaboration hubs, enabling whole-person, coordinated specialty care at scale.
