Setara Announces the Release of its Initial GPU Price Index

CHICAGO, Nov. 3, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Setara Financial Corp. ("Setara"), a developer of independent benchmark and reference infrastructure for the global compute economy, today announced the release of the Setara Index, its initial  GPU price index. This represents the initial step toward the Setara Indices, a family of independently governed benchmarks designed to bring greater transparency, consistency, and institutional credibility to the rapidly expanding AI compute marketplace.

Calculated by Setara's proprietary Benchmark Creation Engine, the Setara Index covers seven GPU models using publicly available on-demand list prices across independent providers. The Setara Index is expressed in U.S. dollars per GPU-hour and updated daily. The  index is available at www.setarafinancial.com/gpu-index.

As compute becomes an increasingly important economic input, the market needs reliable, independent measures of pricing, capacity, availability and economic performance. The Setara Index is a neutral, governed reference framework designed to support price discovery, market comparisons, risk management and the development of institutional financial products.  Setara expects to release additional indices across compute pricing, capacity, availability, and economic performance.
