Sedgwick Appoints Courtney Welton as Global Chief Legal Officer

MEMPHIS, Tenn., Sept. 22, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Sedgwick, the world's leading risk and claims administration partner, has appointed Courtney Welton as Global Chief Legal Officer, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary.

In this role, Welton will serve as a member of the executive leadership team and help guide the company's legal strategy, governance, regulatory compliance, and risk management efforts. She will also partner across the business to support growth, enhance Sedgwick's legal and compliance capabilities, advance responsible AI governance, and maximize the company's ability to operate with the highest standards for clients, colleagues, and partners.

Welton brings experience leading global legal, compliance, and governance functions for complex organizations. She has partnered with CEOs and boards to navigate dynamic regulatory environments, cross-border and geopolitical risk, digital transformation, and enterprise change. She most recently served as Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Chief Ethics, Privacy and Compliance Officer at Allstate Insurance Company. Prior to that, she held senior legal leadership positions at global technology companies, including Motorola Mobility, Google, and Lenovo, after beginning her legal career at Skadden.
