Sakrete Reignites Concrete Combat With a Contractor-First Competition Spotlighting Jobsite Craftsmanship

Concrete professionals are invited to submit their projects for a chance to win cash, equipment and a trip to World of Concrete 2027

ATLANTA, Oct. 6, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Sakrete, the original bagged concrete materials brand, today announced the launch of Concrete Combat, a nationwide competition celebrating the craftsmanship, expertise and pride of concrete professionals. Building on the legacy of Sakrete's previous Concrete Combat series, the reimagined competition moves from the studio on to real jobsites across America. Designed with contractors in mind, the program celebrates the skilled professionals whose craftsmanship, ingenuity, and problem-solving skills help build and improve communities across the country.

To enter, contractors are invited to submit up to four minutes of footage from a current project featuring Sakrete products in use – whether they're working on decorative concrete and hardscape installations or masonry projects and structural work. Participants are encouraged to share the project story, discuss challenges they encountered on the jobsite, explain why they chose Sakrete and highlight what makes their work stand out. Production quality is intentionally not part of the judging process. Instead, the focus remains squarely on the work itself, and submissions will be evaluated by an expert judging panel against four criteria:

• Craftsmanship: Exceptional skill, confidence, and precision in application, resulting in a high-quality project demonstrating professional expertise.
• Authenticity: A job site point of view, capturing a real day at work. Authenticity matters more than production value of content.
• Storytelling: A compelling project story that brings the work to life – from the initial challenge through process, problem-solving, execution and final result.
• Impact and Result: A powerful and demonstrated result that shows the project outcome from start to finish.

A panel of industry experts will evaluate submissions and select semi-finalists and finalists based on the judging criteria. Finalists will then advance to a public voting phase. Fellow contractors, industry professionals and supporters of the trades will have the opportunity to help determine the ultimate Concrete Combat champion.

The grand-prize winner will receive:

• $10,000 cash
• A Professional-Grade Equipment Package from Marshall Town Company, Collomix and Mud Mixer
• An all-expenses-paid trip to World of Concrete 2027 in Las Vegas (January 19-21)

• Submission Period: October 01, 2026 – November 15, 2026
• Semi-Finalists Announced: December 01, 2026
• Finalists Announced: December 21, 2026
  • Finalists will proceed to the live competition at World of Concrete
• Grand Prize Winner Announced: January 21, 2028
