Robin Reinvents Space Planning for the Workplace, Claude-First

Workplace teams can build stack plans, update seating and model growth through a conversation, working from their own floor plans, utilization data and permissions

BOSTON, Oct. 6, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Robin, a leading workplace operations platform, today announced Robin's new agentic Space Planning, the first of its kind built directly in Claude. By using AI instead of working through rigid planning workflows, workplace teams can simply tell Claude what they're trying to accomplish. What used to take workplace teams months of effort before can now be done in minutes.

With Robin's Space Planning, workplace teams can combine the maps, attendance, utilization and policy data already in Robin with context from across the business, such as new hires from an HRIS or lease costs from finance within Claude. Claude can then build custom plans based on how their workplace actually operates, from seating new hires and reorganizing teams to building stack plans and modeling future space needs. The result is a more complete picture of the workplace and an AI-native planning experience that adapts to each company's needs.

Robin's space planning approach starts with the outcome, not the workflow. Once a Claude-created plan is approved, Robin orchestrates what happens next, from publishing the updated map to letting affected teams know where they're sitting. A team can even hand Claude a screenshot or spreadsheet of an existing plan to produce a working scenario with conflicts flagged.

Inside Claude, workplace teams can use Robin's Space Planning to:

  • Update seating plans: As new hires and departures sync from an HRIS like Workday, Robin flags who needs a desk and what space opens up, then carries out the move once it's approved.
  • Model stack plans and real estate scenarios: Build a stack plan from actual usage and right-size neighborhoods based on peak attendance. Model a smaller footprint, a merger of two offices or a new attendance policy and see the desks, square footage and floors each one frees up.
  • Weigh capacity and cost: Compare a headcount plan with current desk capacity, and merge attendance data with lease costs from a connected finance system or spreadsheet to see cost per occupied seat by building. Claude can turn either into a recommendation for executives ahead of a lease renewal.
  • Reclaim underutilized desks: Find desks with no check-ins in the last 30 days and decide the best way to use them. Convert them to bookable hotel desks, reseat the team closer together or pick something in between.

"No two companies work the same way, so no two offices should either," said Ciara Peter, Robin's senior vice president of product. "Robin knows how a workplace is used, and Claude brings in context from other systems a business runs on. Together, they give companies the freedom to design an office around their own people, priorities and way of working."
