The announcement coincides with a $4 million seed round led by NGVP, bringing their total funding to $7.1 million. Receive was founded by fintech executive Ariel Blum, who previously held leadership roles at Melio, Green Dot, and American Express. Blum recognized the limitations of outdated financial systems in serving the needs of growing small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs). Fast-growing businesses were held back by delayed payouts, long settlement windows, high capital costs, and expensive credit that slowed momentum.
