John Berra spent his 40-year career innovating processes for companies across the country and is a member of the Process Automation Hall of Fame He served as the chairman at Emerson Process Management (now Emerson Automation Solutions), and was instrumental in leadership roles with Emerson Electric and Fisher-Rosemount systems. He drove the development of  hybrid addressable remote transmitter (HART) protocol and was an early proponent of an all-digital fieldbus.
