AI for a Better World welcomes Gennie CEO to explore how generative AI is reshaping reenactments and nonfiction storytelling

NEW YORK, Oct. 1, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Planet Classroom's groundbreaking series AI for a Better World debuts a new episode featuring Max Einhorn, co-founder and CEO of Gennie, in conversation with host C. M. (Cathy) Rubin. Killer Kings—a six-part documentary series produced by FirstLookTV and distributed globally by Sphere Abacus—premiered June 16, 2025 on Sky HISTORY and is believed to be the first documentary TV series to air using fully AI-generated imagery. Gennie powered the series' AI reenactments using a proprietary workflow built on tools including Google's Imagen and Veo 2 and Luma AI's Dream Machine Ray 2. The series is executive produced by Will Hanrahan (FirstLookTV), with Dan Korn, VP of Programming at Hearst Networks UK, executive producing for Sky HISTORY.

In the episode , Einhorn explains how Gennie's pipeline reimagines reenactments—producing cinematic scenes entirely with AI at a fraction of traditional cost and timeline. "With AI, we can create epic reenactments that feel cinematic without a single set or camera crew," said Einhorn.

Rubin presses into four themes audiences care about: the new freedoms and responsibilities of directing scenes no camera ever shot; how showrunners should rethink treatments and tone for hybrid (crew + AI) productions; which tools are truly broadcast-ready; and what guardrails—from disclosure labels to licensed inputs—build viewer trust.

Einhorn underscores the importance of clear standards in nonfiction. "As producers, we must be transparent about what is real and what is generated," he says, outlining Gennie's Pillars of Protection—licensed inputs, clear labeling/disclosure, and risk mitigation—to safeguard creators and audiences. He frames AI as a creative amplifier, not a replacement: "Enhance, not replace creativity."
