Peak Leaf Season Is No Time for a DIY Gutter Climb

The Brothers That Just Do Gutters urges homeowners to leave gutter cleaning to the pros and consider year-round protection

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., Oct. 13, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Peak leaf season can quickly turn clogged gutters into overflowing gutters. The Brothers That Just Do Gutters is reminding homeowners that fall gutter maintenance is more than a seasonal chore. It is an important part of directing rainwater away from the roofline, siding, landscaping and foundation.

The message builds on the company's "The Last Climb" campaign: Leave gutter cleaning to the pros. Ask about BroGuard® gutter protection. Protect your home now, pay later. Founders Ryan and Ken Parsons explain how gutter issues can affect a home in the company's animated consumer education video.

"A ladder and a bag of leaves may look like a simple weekend project, but gutter cleaning can expose homeowners to avoidable risks," said Danny Horboychuk, brand president of The Brothers That Just Do Gutters. "A professional can remove debris while also checking for drainage problems that may not be visible from the ground."

What should a professional gutter inspection include?

A gutter professional can look for clogs, leaks, loose sections, improper pitch, damaged downspouts and unsafe drainage. Addressing these issues during leaf season can help prevent roof water damage.

How can homeowners reduce recurring gutter maintenance?

BroGuard is a premium gutter protection system developed through years of gutter installation experience. Its architectural-grade aluminum construction and interchangeable mesh options are designed to support water flow while helping keep leaves, pine needles and debris out. A professional can recommend the best gutter guards for leaves and the conditions around a specific home.

Homeowners searching for professional gutter cleaning services near me can schedule an inspection before late-season leaves and rain strain their gutter system. Flexible financing is available for qualifying BroGuard, gutter installation, replacement and repair projects, making it possible to protect the home now and pay later.
