A revitalized company mark signaling a dynamic future in freight rail transportation

JACKSONVILLE, Fla., Aug. 27, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Patriot Rail Company, a premier U.S. operator of short line and regional freight railroads, transloading and other rail services, announced a refreshed brand reflecting the company's recent transition from growth partner to growth generator.

Building Momentum

Patriot Rail has been on a steady growth path since its 2022 acquisition of Pioneer Lines. Over the past three years, Patriot has built upon its freight railroad core and expanded its rail services and excursion railway portfolio. In 2023, Patriot Rail achieved a major milestone with the acquisition of HYDRA, a transloading and warehousing company, expanding its ability to deliver integrated logistics solutions alongside its rail operations. Patriot also grew its freight network with the Delta Southern Railroad (DSRR) in Louisiana and the Merced County Central Valley Railroad (MCVR) in California, while broadening its excursion portfolio with New Hampshire's Hobo Railroad and Winnipesaukee Scenic Railroad. These additions reflect Patriot Rail's ongoing commitment to growth, diversification, and providing comprehensive rail and logistics services.

Our Path Forward

Since July 2024, under the leadership of CEO Brandy Christian, the company has evolved from being a "Partner in Growth" to a "Growth Generator."

Last fall, the company celebrated the grand opening of a state-of-the-art loading dock at the Castle Commerce Center (Castle") in Merced, CA, marking a significant milestone in the growth and expansion of the Castle Rail District on the MCVR, as well as in the company's transload services nationwide.

In spring 2025, the company announced a new multi-commodity transload facility on the CPKC network in Denton, TX. Just this summer, Patriot Rail opened a new intermodal facility in Salt Lake City in partnership with BNSF and the Utah Inland Port Authority. Expanded excursion rail offerings continued as well, including the opening of the Gettysburg Excursion Railway earlier this month.
