LAKEWAY, Texas, Aug. 7, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Cantata Health Solutions, a leading provider of technology solutions for behavioral health and human services, announces that Outreach, a faith-based provider of counseling and psychological testing services to under-resourced people and communities in the western suburbs of Chicago, has selected Arize EHR to underpin the organization's expansion. Outreach plans to partner with schools, churches, community centers, and other groups that share its mission to open new counseling centers in communities of need. This expansion will require technology that makes it easier to add clinicians and address the nuances of various regulatory and funding requirements.

Outreach selected Arize for its extensibility, which will be critical as the organization adds new locations and programs. "We looked at several EHRs and saw that Arize was the most flexible. One of the key ways Arize will help Outreach demonstrate its impact is by supporting their participation in the Comprehensive Community-Based Youth Services (CCBYS) program, which is funded by the Illinois Department of Human Services (IDHS). CCBYS offers a range of services, including 24-hour crisis intervention, individual and family counseling, emergency shelter, long-term support, and linkage to community resources and other services.

To maintain its CCBYS grant, Outreach must report to IDHS on the demographics of clients, as well as all encounters from the initial crisis calls onward, including interactions it has with clients' parents, teachers, physicians, probation officers, and other contacts. Arize will move Outreach from using spreadsheets and emails to track these encounters manually to one platform that produces detailed reports on all its client information and meetings.

In addition to grant tracking and reporting, Arize will enhance Outreach's communication and HIPAA compliance, as well as improve case management and billing, all of which required manual intervention with their previous system. Arize will also simplify state-required reporting by making it easier to manage documents for the Illinois Medicaid Comprehensive Assessment of Needs and Strengths (IM+CANS)—the assessment mental health providers use for reimbursement of services. Dr. Griswold estimates that streamlining all these processes will lead to an estimated 25 percent reduction in administrative burden, further supporting the organization's growth.
