ONDO Expands Into Global Performance Apparel With Acquisition of Champion System
The acquisition marks ONDO's first transaction and brings the established custom performance apparel brand into its growing portfolio

The acquisition marks ONDO's first transaction and brings together two performance-focused businesses with complementary strengths. Champion System becomes the second brand in ONDO's portfolio, extending the company's reach from performance essentials into custom cycling, triathlon, running and team apparel.

Champion System will continue to operate as a distinct brand under ONDO. The company will maintain its focus on custom technical apparel and its existing relationships with athletes, teams, clubs and partners globally.
Under ONDO's ownership, the focus will be on supporting Champion System's next stage of growth through investment in product development, digital experience, brand building and customer acquisition, while maintaining the operational capabilities and technical expertise at the core of the business.
For ONDO, the acquisition also reflects a broader evolution of the company. What began as a direct-to-consumer brand focused on performance essentials is developing into a multi-brand platform with ambitions across the wider performance apparel category.
"Custom team apparel is one of the few categories in sportswear where the product still has to perform or you lose the customer," said Shim. "Champion System has two decades of technical knowledge and a global base of teams. ONDO has spent six years learning how to build a brand and acquire customers directly. Putting the two together is the opportunity, and it is why we see this as the first of several performance brands we intend to bring into ONDO."
Champion System has served athletes across cycling, running, triathlon and other sports for more than two decades, developing custom apparel for everyone from local clubs and amateur competitors to elite athletes and professional teams.
Lever Style Corporation, Champion System's previous owner, announced the transaction on
The acquisition represents an important milestone for ONDO as it expands beyond its original product categories and establishes a broader presence in performance apparel.
Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
