New Book Offers Reflections to Deepen Weekly Christian Worship

Ronald K. Johnson releases "Devotional Thoughts on the Lord's Supper, the Offering, and Prayer"

SEARCY, Ark., Nov. 3, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- The Lord's Supper is a familiar part of Christian worship, but its routine nature can sometimes cause its significance to be overlooked. In "Devotional Thoughts on the Lord's Supper, the Offering, and Prayer," author Ronald K. Johnson presents more than 100 devotional reflections centered on the Lord's Supper, along with additional messages concerning Christian offering and prayer.

The collection developed from Johnson's experience presenting weekly communion messages at congregations across the country over more than three decades. Rather than providing brief filler remarks to accompany communion services, the book encourages readers to consider the deeper meaning behind the bread, the fruit of the vine and the sacrifice of Jesus Christ.

"I hope that they will remember the sacrifice of Jesus every day," said Johnson.

Through his collection of short devotionals, Johnson encourages readers to approach communion with greater mindfulness and to reflect on how Christ's sacrifice shapes their daily faith.
