DETROIT, Sept. 3, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Urbanist and mobility futurist Greg Lindsay has been named the keynote speaker of the Mobility Innovation Exchange (MIX) event on Tuesday, Sept. 23 at Detroit's Huntington Place.

The day-long event, hosted by the Michigan Office of Future Mobility and Electrification (OFME), brings together industry leaders, policymakers, innovators, and investors to explore the future of mobility—from urban air transport and electric aviation to supply chain modernization and industrial transformation. The conference will feature cutting-edge technologies that are not only redefining transportation but also powering a new wave of domestic manufacturing and economic revitalization.

Key MIX themes include a focus on advanced aerial mobility (AAM) following a recent Executive Directive from Governor Gretchen Whitmer, as well as the current state of venture capital investment, supply chain resiliency and reindustrialization strategies and public-private partnerships in mobility.

Keynote speaker Greg Lindsay is a non-resident senior fellow of MIT's Future Urban Collectives Lab, Arizona State University's Threatcasting Lab, and the Atlantic Council's Geo Strategy Initiative. He was previously urbanist-in-residence at BMW MINI's urban tech accelerator, URBAN­X, as well as director of applied research at NewCities and founding director of strategy at its mobility offshoot, CoMotion.

Lindsay has written, spoke, and consulted on the future of travel and urban mobility for nearly two decades on behalf of such firms as Ford Motor, Audi, Hyundai, Samsung, and Intel, along with numerous G20 government entities including 10 Downing Street.

Most recently, he was a 2022-2023 urban tech fellow at Cornell Tech's Jacobs Institute, where he explored the implications of AI and augmented reality at urban scale in The Augmented City: Seeing Through Disruption (2024). He is also the author of The Future of Generative AI in in Architecture, Design, and Engineering (2024), a report published by Cornell Tech's Urban Tech Hub in conjunction with the Innovation Design Consortium. He is also co-author of the 2011 international bestseller, Aerotropolis: The Way We'll Live Next.

Greg is a two-time Jeopardy! champion and the only human to go undefeated against IBM's pioneering artificial intelligence, Watson.
