Lummus Completes Acquisition of NAPCON from Neste, Expanding Digital and AI Capabilities

Milestone strengthens Lummus' digital portfolio and accelerates AI-driven industrial solutions for customers

HOUSTON, June 2, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Lummus Technology, a global provider of process technologies and value-driven energy solutions, announced the successful closing of its acquisition of the NAPCON portfolio, the digital technology business of Neste. Initially announced in April 2025, the transaction includes the transfer of Neste's NAPCON intellectual property, select assets and key personnel. In April, Lummus and Neste also entered into a Strategic Collaboration Agreement to ensure continued delivery of NAPCON services to Neste and its subsidiaries.

The NAPCON suite and "games" system leverages AI, advanced process controls, automation and simulation software that enhances safety, efficiency and sustainability in industrial operations. The NAPCON software has been continuously developed to meet the high demands in process profitability and competitiveness of production assets.

Ferroman is a transatlantic provider of automation, AI-driven optimization, digital project execution and engineering solutions for the steel and process industries.
