Long-time Journal of Emergency Nursing Editor Among Award Recipients

Managing Editor Annie Kelly recognized along with top authors and reviewers

Kelly has served as the managing editor for the Journal of Emergency Nursing for more than 25 years. Her commitment to excellence and her dedication to supporting authors, editors and the dissemination of best practice resources to emergency nurses is unparalleled.

This year's JEN Authors of the Year Award recipients are:

• Warren Frankenberger, PhD, RN, et al. for the research paper Triage Accuracy in Pediatrics Using the Emergency Severity Index
• Nancy J. Denke for the clinical paper Local Anesthetic Systemic Toxicity (LAST): More Common Than You Think

Dan Mayer, MD, and Joseph S. Blansfield, MS, NP, TCRN, were also recognized as JEN Reviewers of the Year.

This year's Journal of Emergency Nursing Award recipients will be recognized in September as part of Emergency Nursing 2025 in New Orleans.

JEN is ENA's peer-reviewed academic journal, published six times a year with original research and updates from the emergency nursing specialty, while also covering practice and professional issues.
