Leeds Equity Names Andrew Hermalyn as Operating Partner

NEW YORK, March 3, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Leeds Equity Partners, ("Leeds Equity"), the New York-based private equity firm, today announced the appointment of Andrew Hermalyn as Operating Partner. Hermalyn brings to Leeds Equity nearly 20 years of executive operating experience within the education industry and a deep commitment to driving innovation across the sector to achieve better learning outcomes. Leeds Equity was founded in 1993 and invests exclusively in the Knowledge Industries.

Hermalyn spent 17 years with 2U, Inc., having joined the company at its inception. He was instrumental in transforming the business from a start-up into one of the world's leading online education companies. Andrew was primarily responsible for the company's rapid partner growth, including its global expansion to serve learners in new markets around the world. Andrew held several executive positions, focused on growing and nurturing the company's relationships with its 250 university and corporate partners. He most recently served as President of the degree program segment, leading the company's core business with hundreds of millions in revenue and over 1000 employees.
