Kyndryl launches mainframe modernization services leveraging AWS's agentic AI capabilities

Kyndryl certified as Elite Partner for new AWS Transform for Mainframe solution to integrate or move applications to the AWS Cloud

This follows the recent certification by AWS of Kyndryl as an Elite Launch Partner for its new AWS Transform for Mainframe solution.

Kyndryl's new services make it easier for enterprises to integrate or move mainframe applications to the AWS Cloud platform by leveraging the automated agentic AI capabilities of AWS Transform. As part of this initiative, Kyndryl is educating its experts in new AI skills for AWS.

To facilitate the transformation of mainframe applications to AWS, Kyndryl is applying its consulting expertise and services to help customers streamline the application software development lifecycle. Kyndryl also employs platform engineering and best practices to integrate, quickly provision and deploy applications on AWS. This approach accelerates application modernization, enables flexibility and customization, and future-proofs the software delivery cycle to enhance the developer experience.

Additionally, Kyndryl is providing services to leverage AWS Transform to modernize and migrate mainframe applications to AWS. For most organizations, conducting exploratory and deep analysis of source code and documentation can be challenging, time-consuming and prone to errors. AWS Transform's ability to translate complex code terms using agentic AI improves understanding of and working with application documentation. Kyndryl's projections indicate that applying AWS Transform to large-scale modernization and migration projects will potentially reduce timelines by approximately one-third. As a result, the new services allow customers to quickly unlock value from their mainframe data and applications, and scale and transform their digital businesses.
