The new environment provides a secure, mission-ready landing zone for commercial software and AI applications supporting the Department of War's (DoW) most sensitive workloads, including Controlled Unclassified Information and mission-critical National Security Systems.
Purpose-built as a separate, dedicated boundary, the Knox IL5 landing zone will extend its existing FedRAMP High and Impact Level 4 DoW capabilities, which Knox has held since 2019. The platform is designed to meet the elevated security, isolation, and operational requirements necessary to support high-impact defense missions while enabling technology companies to enter the environment faster and without building and operating a standalone government cloud deployment.
