InventHelp Inventor Develops Comfortable Urinal for Bedbound Men (SBT-2082)

August 22, 2025 12:00 PM EDT

PITTSBURGH, Aug. 22, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- "I'm a registered nurse, and I thought there could be a more comfortable urinal design for bedbound male patients," said an inventor, from Temecula, Calif., "so I invented THE SOFT URINAL. My design would eliminate the conventional hard and sharp edge of the opening which may cause abrasions on the male genitalia."

The invention provides an improved urinal for male patients and bedbound men. In doing so, it eliminates the discomfort associated with employing standard urine collection bottles. As a result, it prevents the penis from coming into contact with the hard and sharp plastic edge. Thus, it reduces the risk of abrasions. The invention features a comfortable design that is easy to use so it is ideal for medical facilities, nursing homes, home health care applications, etc. Additionally, a prototype model and technical drawings are available upon request.

The original design was submitted to the San Diego sales office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
