ICI Welcomes New Money Accounts for Growth & Advancement

WASHINGTON, May 14, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, the Investment Company Institute (ICI) issued the following statement after the House Ways and Means Committee approved a tax package including new "money accounts for growth and advancement." These tax-advantaged accounts for children would be funded by the Treasury Department with $1,000 each for Americans born from 2025 through 2028. Families could contribute up to an additional $5,000, and a trustee would direct the investments.
