Howard Cheng Joins Carrick Lane as Partner and Head of Risk

Firm taps seasoned risk management professional to oversee risk functions

Howard will oversee all risk functions and will play an important role in the continued growth and expansion of Carrick Lane's offerings.

For the past 15 years, Howard has held senior risk management roles, most recently as a Director of Macro Risk at Balyasny Asset Management, where he covered all macro strategies, including equity derivatives.

Prior to Balyasny, Howard held positions as Chief Risk Officer at Phillimore Investments and Director of Macro Risk at Barclays. In addition to his risk management roles, Howard has served as a multi-asset class volatility portfolio manager and Chief Compliance Officer at multiple hedge funds. He graduated with a BS in Engineering in Computer Science from the University of Pennsylvania.
