House Democrats and Speaker Welch are Bringing Back Blue Wave Fest

CHICAGO, July 21, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- On Wednesday, July 23rd, House Speaker Emanuel "Chris" Welch and Democrats for the Illinois House (DIH) are bringing back their annual summer fundraiser, Blue Wave Fest. As Republicans work to turn back the clock, Blue Wave Fest is designed to ignite and power Illinois Democrats for the road ahead.

"Across Illinois, people are ready to stand up for our communities, for our state, and for a better direction for our country," Welch said. "Blue Wave Fest is about celebrating that energy, kicking off the work that we will carry into 2026, and supporting the leaders who are ready to fight for the brighter future we all deserve." 

The epic night features elected officials from across the state, live music, activist arts, dancing, and an awesome fireworks finale.

The event takes place on the Offshore Rooftop at Navy Pier, providing a stunning backdrop to the festivities. The event is on Wednesday, July 23rd 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with tickets available at https://secure.actblue.com/donate/bluewavefest2025. Valet parking is available at the Offshore entry.
