HUB INTERNATIONAL NAMES CHRIS TASSONE AS MANAGING DIRECTOR OF TAX LIABILITY PRACTICE

HUB expands tax insurance capabilities across the U.S. and Canada

• Tassone brings more than a decade of tax law and Big Four consulting experience to HUB's growing tax insurance offering in the U.S. and Canada.

CHICAGO, Aug. 28, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Hub International Holdings, Inc. (HUB), a leading global insurance brokerage and financial services firm, announced today the appointment of Chris Tassone as Managing Director of HUB's tax liability insurance and risk capability for North America.

In this role, Tassone will work closely with clients and their legal and accounting teams to identify tax exposure and structure tailored insurance solutions that transfer that risk to the insurance market. He will report to Sumit Agarwal, Managing Director and Head of Transactional Risk for North America.

"Chris's background as an experienced practicing tax attorney gives him a unique ability to navigate complex tax issues and advise clients with the credibility of someone who has also sat on the other side of the table," said Agarwal. "His deep technical expertise in tax credits, M&A transactions, and renewable energy projects makes him an exceptional addition to our team." 

Tassone's appointment continues HUB's investment in building its Transactional Risk Practice to meet growing demand for insurance solutions that address complex tax exposures in M&A and other strategic transactions.

Tassone joins HUB from Taft, Stettinius & Hollister LLP, where he served as a partner in the Tax practice group, advising clients on mergers & acquisitions, tax controversy, renewable energy tax credits, and other strategic transactions. Earlier in his career, he was a tax consultant in the Credits and Incentives group at Ernst & Young's National Tax Department. He currently serves as chair of the Ohio State Bar Association's Taxation Committee. Tassone holds a juris doctor (JD) from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of South Carolina.
