Great American Media Launches Nationwide Search to Help Small-Town Churches This Christmas

• Great American Christmas: Small-Town Churches invites Americans to nominate a church making a difference through faith, service and the true meaning of Christmas

NEW YORK, Sept. 17, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- As the Christmas season approaches, Great American Media is launching a new nationwide initiative celebrating the important role local churches play in caring for their communities and keeping faith at the heart of Christmas.

Great American Christmas: Small-Town Churches invites Americans to nominate a small-town church they love and share how that church serves its community at Christmas and how additional support from Great American Media could help make an even greater difference.

Churches often meet some of the most immediate needs in their communities, providing food, coats, gifts, Bibles and support to families who need a helping hand. But their impact goes far beyond tangible needs. They offer a place for people to find faith, encouragement, belonging and hope, and to reconnect with the true meaning of Christmas.

"Churches are at the heart of so many communities, and that becomes especially meaningful at Christmas," said Kaitlyn Haubrich, Chief Brand Officer and Chief of Staff at Great American Media. "They're caring for families, supporting their neighbors and helping people stay connected to their faith and to what Christmas is about. Christmas As It's Meant To Be has always been about faith, family and taking care of the people around us."

Support will be shaped around the needs of each selected church and the community it serves. That could include helping with Christmas outreach, food or gift ministries, children's and family programs, worship or music programs, transportation, decorations or another need identified by the church.

Great American Media is asking church members, pastors, ministry leaders, neighbors and viewers to help identify churches that are taking care of those around them and making Christmas meaningful in their communities.

Nominations will be accepted through October 15 at Great American Christmas: Small-Town Churches. Selected churches will be announced on October 27 and celebrated across Great American Media's social and digital platforms.
