Genstar Names Timothy D. Armour to Strategic Advisory Board

Former Capital Group CEO and Investment Management Industry Veteran to Advise on Genstar's Investments and Drive Growth for Portfolio Companies

SAN FRANCISCO, June 30, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Genstar Capital, a leading private equity firm focused on investments in targeted segments of the financial services, industrials, software, and healthcare industries, today announced the appointment of Timothy D. Armour, a distinguished investment management executive, to the firm's Strategic Advisory Board ("SAB"). Mr. Armour will focus on Genstar's investments in the financial services sector.

Mr. Armour has over four decades of experience in financial services, including most recently serving as Chair and Chief Executive Officer of Capital Group, the world's largest active fund manager with over $2.8 trillion in assets under management. Earlier in his career, he served as an equity investment analyst at Capital Group where he covered global telecommunications and U.S. service companies. Mr. Armour holds a bachelor's degree in economics from Middlebury College.
