Fritz, Paul, Townsend and Anisimova Headline The 2026 Atlanta Cup Dec. 4

ATLANTA, Sept. 14, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Atlanta's newest tennis tradition is officially back for year two. On Friday, December 4, Gas South Arena will host the second annual Atlanta Cup, welcoming four of American tennis' biggest stars: Taylor Fritz, Tommy Paul, Amanda Anisimova and hometown favorite Taylor Townsend.

The 2026 edition arrives with momentum. Last December's inaugural Atlanta Cup drew more than 7,300 fans — the highest-attended professional tennis event in the city's 50+ years of hosting history.

The women's matchup delivers hometown pride and historic star power. Taylor Townsend — the Atlanta-raised former doubles world No. 1 — comes home fresh off winning the US Open women's doubles title, completing a Career Grand Slam with victories at all four majors. She faces Amanda Anisimova, a two-time Grand Slam finalist and current world top-10 player who reached a career-high world No. 3 this year.

Headlining the men's side, Taylor Fritz — a US Open and ATP Finals finalist and one of the top-ranked Americans in the world — takes on Tommy Paul, the Australian Open semifinalist and five-time ATP Tour champion, in an all-American showdown between two of the sport's fiercest competitors and Olympic teammates.
