First Mini-Pitch in NYCFC's Expanded Soccer Initiative Completed by The LandTek Group

QUEENS, N.Y., June 5, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- The LandTek Group, A TenCate Company, has successfully completed the first of 26 new mini-soccer pitches as part of the next phase of the New York City Soccer Initiative (NYCSI), 26For26. The ribbon-cutting ceremony, held at PS 211 Elm Tree Elementary School in Corona, Queens, was attended by New York City Mayor Eric Adams and key initiative partners including New York City FC (NYCFC), Etihad Airways, Capital Rx, and the Mayor's Fund to Advance New York City.

This milestone marks the beginning of a renewed commitment to expand access to safe, high-quality recreational spaces for youth across the five boroughs. The LandTek Group, a national leader in athletic facility construction, was selected to construct the new soccer pitch, continuing its legacy of delivering premier sports infrastructure throughout the northeast and beyond.
